The department places strong emphasis on fundamentals so that the student is introduced to the complexities of subject in an interesting and easy manner. Students are allowed to handle sophisticated and technological equipment's. The department also plans to introduce Masters Degree Course & research work. Expert lectures, seminars and quizzes are held to enrich the technological information and communication skills of the students. Students further augment their job knowledge by visits to nearby industries and attending in plant training programs.

IITM is connceived to be apex institute offering quality education in the areas of information, communication and allied technologies. Its broad vision is to serve as a catalysts and an agent of change to steer the technical education in an around Gwalior region towards integration with the glowal network society in the new millenium.

IITM is committed to a development of quality manpower, while providing impetus to the growth of quality technical education system and to the establishment of synergetic partnership with the industries and the R & D organization.

Five Year Perspecyive Plan
- Active collaboration with industries through mutual transfer of technology and man power.
- To develop hardware design centre at IITM to provide consultancy in the areas of hardware design, Embedded Technology and VLSI.
- To develop research and developmental programs at International standards.
- Preparation for P.G courses on electronics hardware design.
- To develop overall infrastructure and R&D activities so that IITM may be awarded at autonomous state.
